Building A Lakeside Log Cabin

We were hired as the general contractor for building a lakeside log cabin. Atela Construction did all of the concrete work for the foundation and crawl space.

After the concrete was cured, we put in the floor joists. The concrete footings for the deck can be seen surrounding the foundation.

We’re making progress with the floor joists!

The plywood sub-floor makes the place a lot safer!

Since this is a log cabin, the floor of the deck needed to be completed before the logs for the cabin were assembled.

With the use of a drone, we have a good aerial view of the sub-floor and deck.

The log package from Canadian Log & Timber Products has arrived! We are working alongside Sperlich Log Construction Inc. to assemble the log cabin. Since the logs are pre-cut to fit, the cabin is assembled quite quickly.

We covered the rafters with plastic to keep the cabin dry until we could get the roof installed.

The roof is on the cabin now!

This lakeside cabin is coming along nicely.
